At Scrub Bunnies, we believe peace of mind should be part of a premium cleaning experience. That is why we take practical steps to help customers see when a cleaner or cleaning company has provided evidence of insurance through ScrubBunnies.com.

As part of our profile review process, we may ask cleaners and cleaning companies to upload supporting insurance documentation through our admin system. Where a copy of an insurance certificate or related document is submitted from a reputable provider, our team reviews the uploaded copy to confirm that it appears current and in date at the time of review.

Where appropriate, an Insured shield or similar status may then be shown on the cleaner’s profile. This gives customers an added level of reassurance by showing that insurance documentation has been supplied to us and reviewed based on the copy provided.

This visible status is intended to support transparency across the platform. It shows that the cleaner or cleaning company has taken the additional step of submitting evidence of insurance for review, and that the document on file appears valid on its face at the time we reviewed it.

To help maintain high standards, this status is not permanent. Our system automatically removes the Insured shield once the date shown on the document has expired. If the cleaner or cleaning company wants to continue displaying insured status, they must upload a new current insurance document for review. Until updated evidence is submitted and reviewed, the shield will no longer appear.

This automatic expiry process is part of how Scrub Bunnies Ltd works to keep profile information more current and more meaningful. Rather than leaving old insurance markers in place indefinitely, our system is designed so that if the insurance document expires, the shield expires too.

We believe this creates a more responsible and transparent experience for customers. It encourages cleaners and cleaning companies to keep their records up to date, while helping customers make more informed choices when booking services through our platform.

At the same time, we believe it is important to be clear about what this status does and does not mean.

Scrub Bunnies Ltd does not provide the insurance policy, does not issue the certificate, and does not independently verify the full terms, extent, validity or ongoing status of the cover beyond the documentation submitted to us. Our role is limited to reviewing the image, scan or copy uploaded by the cleaner or cleaning company and applying an Insured shield based on the evidence provided.

That means the shield confirms that a copy of insurance-related documentation has been uploaded and reviewed by us, and that it appeared current and in date at the time of review. It does not mean that Scrub Bunnies is underwriting the policy, guaranteeing the authenticity of the original document, confirming every term of cover, or warranting that the policy remains active in all circumstances after the date of review.

Insurance documents, like all formal documents, reflect information at a particular point in time. A policy may lapse, be cancelled, be amended, or expire after the copy has been uploaded. While our system removes the shield automatically once the document date has elapsed, we cannot guarantee that a policy has remained unchanged or continuously valid in every respect during the period before expiry unless updated information is supplied to us.

It is also important to note that we do not inspect the original physical insurance certificate. We review only the copy uploaded to our admin system by the cleaner or cleaning company. Because of that, our review is naturally limited to what is visible in the submitted document, and we cannot authenticate the original in the same way as the insurer or issuing authority.

Even so, we believe this process offers real value to customers. By asking for insurance documents, reviewing submitted copies, displaying an Insured shield where appropriate, and automatically removing that shield when the document expires, ScrubBunnies.com promotes greater transparency and encourages better record keeping across the platform.

Our aim is to provide customers with useful, visible reassurance without overstating what we can reasonably confirm. We believe trust is strengthened by being clear. When you see an Insured shield on a cleaner’s profile, it means supporting insurance documentation has been uploaded to us, reviewed in copy form, and appeared current at the time of review. If that document expires and a new one is not uploaded, the shield is removed automatically until fresh evidence is supplied.
